Thanks to Jan Andrea instructions. Sewing this pouch was easy peasy. check out her tutorial here.
The sling pouch helped me a lot whilst doing chores and shopping. But as Gio grow bigger, the pouch became too tight for the both of us. The Sling was sewn in a specific measurements and adjusting it bigger was no option.
I didn't want to buy another baby carrier because I had 2 carriers when I had Vin in 2008. It cost me about RM99.00 and Avan's carrier cost me about RM39.00. I only used them for less than 10 times because it wasn't comfortable for both me and my babies.
So I compromised.
Happy me created a baby sling of my own and it only cost me RM4.00! It comes with 3 different styles/position of baby wearing. I have used this since Gio was about 2 months old.
Here it is... 3 IN 1 SHAWL BABY WEARING !
1. Front facing position
This is Gio's favourite position. I called it baby kangaroo style.
2. Side position
I normally put him in this position when he's sleepy and needs cuddling. I can rock and sway him while singing lullaby.
3. Tummy rub position
At 4 months old, he really dislike this position. ( it's like, mommy! you're getting in the way! I see nothing!) But I do think this position is best for breastfeeding mommies.
I'm glad that I managed to save a whole lot for my baby wearing. I'm also happy that I'm sharing this with other mommies who need cost effective motherly gadget like me.
If you want to learn how i fold and tie my shawl for my baby wearing, please wait for my next post on 3 in 1 Shawl Baby Wearing Tutorial as soon as I get the pictures ready.
Thank you for dropping by. I hope you enjoyed your reading.
Cheers,
Michele
