My boys loves it and I was thrilled that they can spend hours just playing with shapes. It's just a simple project but the reward was so much more. I had few extra time for myself and I'm doing extra chores!
If you mommies are interested to make this for your precious, all you need is :
1. A large sheet of felt and some colorful cut out felt shapes
2. Velcro ( only the spikey side )
3. Hot Glue or UHU glue is ok too
I got my supplies from Leeton at Segama,KK. They sell Rm3.50 / color / meter. You also can get it from Daiso but I am not sure what size they have. It's sold in packages.
Glue a piece of velcro onto the felt shapes.it will serve as magnets so the the children can use however the want with the shapes.
I always make sure my boys partake in the project making. I made sure their ideas and thoughts are counted for because it matters most. It will make them feel important and somehow improve their sense of belonging.
When finished, I just tape the main felt onto our bedroom door and let their imagination runs free.
Always remember to initiate and engage the activity with your kids before leaving them playing by themselves. It wont work when you just tell them to. "Orders" are not well accepted. I have learned that to make an activity fun, you must show it first.
Well, i hope you like this sharing. Thanks for reading and enjoy making your felt shapes project. Please share if you do ya!
till then,
Michele
