Making monsters with Vin

My last Week Project idea was making bean bag toys. I wanted it to be crafty, me-original and I wanted Vin to have a huge part of it. When he said, "mummy let's make monsters!" I was ready to make his imagination comes alive.

So,we took a couple of minutes drawing the monsters, then I was off cutting out the pattern and started the sewing. It was really fun! Vin was telling me how long his monster hands should be, how big the horns should be, how small he wanted the teeth to be, it was all him and his ideas! He enjoyed it so much when I asked him to choose the felt-colors for his monsters and helped me arranging it together. When one monster is done, he couldn't stop "chimping" !

Here's Vin & Mummy finished project !

Vin and His family monsters
I Used black cotton scrap fabric for the body, Felt for it's eyes, mouth, hands and legs . Some fiber filling and "Rice" inside.
Big thanks to Vin's Imagination.
It wasn't such a big deal, but looking at how Vin adore his monsters, I surely know that it's his way of showing his appreciation. ( He even remember which monster is which!) It's just that sometimes, we forget to spend some quality time with our kids and I'm glad that I was snapped out of it. I'm grateful that we did this project together and it makes me want to become a better mummy.

Thank you Darling, Mummy is so proud of you...Love you bunch.
