Mummy Kicks

   I have always been a huge fan of Tony Jaa and watching Yod winning The Contender on AXN is the best reality show ever! Apart from being ever-distinct from every other martial arts (that i acknowledge :P), I am in the notion that Muay Thai Rocks!


So,anyway, my friend Annie was telling me that she has attended a few Muay Thai Classes that it sounded so good, it made me decided to give it a try. I have never been involved in any Martial art training whatsoever before, so I have no clear imagination of what the training would be like. (I just figured out that Mr.Jaa looked so cool in the movie, that I would too? ahaks!)
Borneo MuayThai Production (Labuan) also formerly known as Borneo Combat Gym is a Gymnasium that offers training for both Kickboxing/Boxing /Muay Thai from children to adults, men and women alike. Owned and run by our very own Borneo born Nak Muay ,Mr.Alvin Chong.
I took the opportunity to take some shots of the gym before the training starts...

So, for the warm up? Let's just say that I was "asking" for it. (OMG! It was a ridiculous-fun-tiring-breathless experience! )

then we did some stretching, that I was not in favor most because I just couldn't get my forehead on my f*n knees, or even get my fingers on my toes! Haiyah!

Afterwards, Annie ,already in a higher level prepared for the next training. She get's to Kick & Punch!

While me, laughing at myself trying hard to imitate the trainer's move.
Yeah,eventually I did pretty good. (Ehem!)With both fists clenched tight, knee bend and that "bouncy moves" I could feel that sudden empowerment of strength every time I throw a punch. Woah! Amaizing feeling... and I am so not exaggerating.
Next, the agility drill :
By now the confidence level is up but the energy level is draining low-low-low... BUT! the trainer never gives up and pushed us through until the very last round. Yeay! everybody gets a high five!

There was another round of work out before the training was over and we all were trying our very best to complete it. I have to give a pat on my shoulder that I've made 10 pumping for like 4-5 times within a session. Im my age and status,5 pumps is already a lot but 50???! Booyah!

When Annie asked if I'd join the next training? ABSOLUTLY YES!
I just cant wait to throw some kicks and punches on these...
