World to Havanoun Asi

It has been a while since Ive updated my blog - Gosh...my 3rd trimester were overwhelmingly tiring. I get tired easily, having shortness of breath , sleepless nights , mood swings , and worse bumping into things when I'm actually aware of it. talking about Coordination failure. duh.

Needless to say, Ive delivered a beautiful-healthy baby boy weigh 3.1kg on the 7th of May and we named him HAVANOUN ASI literally means "To Fight For" derived from the Kadazan Language, while Asi simply means "Beloved One" in Iban literature.

Was already back to KK 3 weeks before my actual due date which is on the 21May. Hubby was coming back and fourth from Labuan to KK since Friday and will leave on the last ferry back to Labuan on Sunday. Had a great time actually being with my cousins and Vinoun was making the most of it, since he had no company back at home. He misses his daddy at times and I was too.

Went for my check up on the 6th and Dr.Lim said that the baby's head has not descended to my birth canal and that it will take some time. He did mentioned about 2 weeks more - well that's what the due date says.
I was already so anxious about delivering the baby sooner, I just cant wait any longer. Vin was out 3 weeks earlier but maybe this time around I just have to wait...

Woke up at 5am the next morning with a prickly sensation on my tummy, I waited and about 20minutes later the pain came again, and I waited and I waited and waited and with every 1/2 hour intervals, I was confident it's a contraction. but wheres the water? So I guess I'll wait for my water to break then go to the hospital. It was Saturday and thankfully hubby was by my side. we went out for breakfast and at this moment my contraction was a little heavier. Not that I can't handle it.

By 9am,there was still no water but the contraction was becoming strong that finally I gave up and we went to the hospital. We settled in a nice room and I can still walk around. The nurse came at 10am to check me out and my opening was only 2cm. Dr.Lim came in "smiling". He broke my water-bag and after a couple of hours, I went into Hell. The pain was unbearable! I though the second delivery was suppose to be nice and easy!!??

Dr.Lim came checking and my opening was already 7cm, I was quickly wheeled to the delivery room. It was almost 2pm. Within 2 pushes, my baby came out crying. He was Perfect.

and the pain just went away...

Tell me again why we are brain-washed to do this all over again without ever regaining consciousness of the bizarre pain that we have to endure and never complain even once but pure JOY everafter?

Im blessed, I am. Don't we all Mothers are.
